Paper: vice-speaker says Tsarukyan no rival to Sargsyan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Assembly vice speaker Eduard Sharmazanov has deemed it Prosperous Armenia’s problem to decide on when and how to announce decision on the upcoming presidential elections, Aravot daily reported.

Asked by the paper if Prosperous Armenia leader’s decision to run for the president will cause panic among the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) members, Sharmazanov said, “The current president will remain the sole favorite, regardless of Mr. Tsarukyan’s decision. Nevertheless, if Prosperous Armenia head resolves to run for the president, he will vie for the second place only. RPA never succumbs to panic as it is following the right path.”
