  Paper: Prosperous Armenia reps to back Sargsyan in Syunik province November 24, 2012 - 19:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - According to 168 Zham daily, Prosperous Armenia party members in Syunik province will back the leader of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), current president Serzh Sargsyan in the upcoming elections. “After all, the current president is from Syunik province,” governor Suren Khachatryan said, commenting on Gagik Tsarukyan’s possible running for the president. Khachatryan further voiced confidence for the RPA candidate to win the race. Thus, Governor Khachatryan indirectly noted that Gyumri Mayor Samvel Balasanyan’s backing RPA member may serve a precedent in Syunik province during the presidential polls.
