ARMENIAN TEMPLE TO BE BUILD IN KAMENETS-PODOLSKY

PanARMENIAN.Net - It was decided to establish the historical justice in Kamenets-Podolsky. A location where there was once an old Armenian cathedral demolished by the Soviet authorities was given to the Armenian community for building the temple. Armenians say the bridge and the canyon at the entry of the Old City in Kamenets-Podolsky are very similar to their fatherland. Armen Khachatryan, the Armenian Ambassador to Ukraine said, «There are arcs though and the bridge is more beautiful, however the landscape is like the Kiiv bridge and the gorge in Yerevan.» Six centuries ago Armenians built Kamenets-Podolsky equally with Ukrainians and Poles. Thus they also have their emblem on the city arms. Now there is a Khachkar - a stone cross in the city. It is erected in the location where a temple will be built. The Khachkar also commemorates the victims of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey in 1915, reported Novy Kanal.
