Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan responded to Heritage leader Raffi Hovannissian’s letter, addressed to President Serzh Sargsyan, party’s vice president said.

As Armen Martirosyan told a press conference on Jan 22, the reply didn’t offer a solution to the problems outlined, with the exception of the point regarding the mass media freedom.

Dwelling on the measures to rule out election bribery, he said no party has the opportunity to carry out intelligence operations to prevent violations.

As for presidential candidate Andreas Ghukasya’s decision to go on hunger strike, Mr Martirosyan deemed it a legal way of struggle.
