CIS observers meet Armenian presidential candidates

PanARMENIAN.Net - CIS observer mission continue monitoring of Armenian presidential elections.

First deputy chairman of the executive committee Vladimir Garkun met Jan 25 with leadership of Armenian police, with voter lists, and measures the aw enforcement bodies take to ensure public order during the election campaign discussed.

Garkun further met with the head of OSCE/ODIHR observer mission, ambassador Heidi Tagliavini, with the course of election campaign discussed.

As part of his visit to Gyumri, Garkun familiarized himself with the course of the activity of N 35 district election commission, with meetings with Shirak province governor A. Giziryan and Gyumri Mayor Samvel Balasanyan held.

CIS long-term observers held meetings with leadership of presidential candidate Raffi Hovannissian’s headquarters and hopeful Arman Melikyan.

The mission will further inform of activates, with monitoring of media coverage of election campaigns currently in progress.
