According to the National Statistical Service, Nare became the most popular girl name, with 945 carrying it. 868 girls were named Milena, followed by Marie (773), Mane (751), Ani (610), Anahit (591), Elen (577), Mariam (441), Anna (434), Armine (97.) David, with 1283 babies given the name, was the most popular among the boys, followed by Narek (1129), Gor (813), Hayk (671), Erik (619), Alex (613), Tigran (544), Arman (528), Samvel (490), and Alain (448).
