ARMENIAN MOD DOES NOT CONFIRM BUYING 10 PLANES FROM SLOVAKIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - Sources in the Armenian MOD stated that in a conversation with journalists September 24 Armenian Deputy Defense Minister Artur Aghabekyan was reported to have stated that Armenia had bought 10 SU-25 pursuit planes from Slovakia. A. Aghabekyan only stated that the Armenian Armed Forces had bought 10 warplanes. Meanwhile, some media reported the Slovakian MOD had sold 10 SU-25 planes produced in Russia to Armenia via a Slovakian mediator. Two reporters of the British Aviation Journal, who visited Armenia lately, also reported Armenia had bought planes from Slovakia, reported RFE/RL.
