PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Krikor Sevag Mekhitarian became the 79th chess champion of Brazil.

Mekhitarian scored 8,5 points in 11 rounds to lead the championship. He gained victory in 7 rounds, tied 3 rounds and suffered only 1 defeat.
