A resident of the village of Alishar in Sharur region, Oruj Salakhov assaulted the head doctor of the central regional hospital, Aftandil Mamedov. He further appeared at the frontier post at Iran’s border, threatening to immolate himself unless allowed to cross over to Armenian side.

In June 2012, Salahov accused the hospital of causing the death of his 3-year-old son. Back then, he attempted suicide outside the Public TV building haqqin.az reported citing оxucu.infо.
