RA President to Depart for Greece November 9

PanARMENIAN.Net - November 9 by invitation of President of Greece Karolos Papoulias Armenian President Robert Kocharian will depart for Greece on formal visit, RA leader's press service reported. The Armenian delegation will include the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister Transport and Communications, Minister of Agriculture, Chairman of the Permanent Parliamentary Committee for Foreign Relations, Greek Ambassador to Armenia and other officials. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen ties between the two states, outline priorities and tasks of the Armenian-Greek economic development and exchange views on the issue of mutual concern.



During the visit Robert Kocharian will meet with Greek President Karolos Papoulias. Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis, Parliament Speaker Anna Psaruda-Benaki and heads of parliamentary factions. Besides, the Armenian-Greek negotiations will be held in expanded composition. The discussions will focus on the prospects of the cooperation development. The Armenian leader is as well expected to meet with Mayor of Athens Dora Bakoyianni and lay a wreath to the Monument to Unknown Soldier. In the Greek capital he will attend the opening ceremony of the new building of the Armenian Embassy and meet with representatives of the Armenian community. November 11 the Armenian delegation will return to Yerevan.
