The Armenian National Congress (ANC) party is a well-established political force, party member said.

“1813 members have joined the party. They prefer public interest to own interests,” Aram Manukyan said, adding their supporters see Levon Ter-Petrossian as party leader.

Social Democrat Hunchakian Party leader Lyudmila Sargsyan, in turn, voiced hope that the ANC will maintain its historical value and achievements, despite the losses it suffered.

“Future generations will reap lessons from Levon Ter-Petrossian’s steps,” Ms. Sargsyan said.
