 Catholicos Karekin II meets Indian ambassador April 17, 2013 - 18:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Catholicos of All Armenians His Holiness Karekin II met with the newly-appointed Indian ambassador Shri Suresh Babu. His Holiness congratulated the envoy on the appointment, wishing him success in his mission. Friendly relations between the two countries, Armenian community’s historic presence in India and the current state of Armenian churches were in the focus of the discussion. His Holiness Karekin II dwelt on the operation of the Humanitarian Seminary of Calcutta, expressing gratitude to the Indian embassy for the support to Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. He further voiced hope that the envoy will contribute to the deepening of cooperation between the two countries.
