Yerevan mayor doesn’t politicize city council polls- RPA rep.

PanARMENIAN.Net - The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) doesn’t politicize Yerevan city council elections, member of RPA parliamentary group said.

“Some political forces have not announced yet the name of their candidate,” Sukias Avetisyan said.

Dwelling on their campaign, he said that candidate Taron Margaryan attaches special importance to meetings with Yerevan residents and the problems they face.

Mr Avetisyan further denied rumors suggesting Mayor Margaryan was banned from holding direct meetings with citizens, saying that no such issues were on RPA’s agenda.
