President Vladimir Putin Sambo Cup is over in Moscow , with Armenian men’s team participating. Armenia shared the 3rd spot with Ukraine, Bealrus and Russia came 1st and 2nd respectively.

Armenian sambo federation president Levon Hayrapetyan hailed the team’s performance, despite Ashot Danielyan’s and Vachik Vardanyan’s absence.

Armenia grabbed 15 medals at 2013 European championships, with 1 silver and 1 bronze medals won in the world cup. 2013 world championships are due in fall, with 4 Armenian sambo wrestlers to participate in Kazan-hosted 27th summer universiade.
