Yerevan to have 850.0 hectares green spaces in 2013

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan municipality’s 2013 environmental program envisages creation of new lawns covering area of 3.2 hectares.

According to Yerevan municipality’s press service, the capital’s irrigation network will be extended by 21 km, with the new network to cover Nork Nork, Avan, Arabkir, Ajapnyak, Shengavit, Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts.

40.000 trees were planted in Yerevan in 2013, with 7000 more trees to be planted in fall. 12.000 rose bushes and 700.000 flower seedlings were planted in the capital, with the city’s green spaces to cover 850.0 hectares following the completion of the program.
