IN OSCE REPRESENTATIVE'S OPINION, A1+ AND NOYAN TAPAN TV CHANNELS NOT RECEIVING LICENCE TESTIFIES OF SPEECH FREEDOM RESTRICTION IN ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - OSCE representative on freedom of mass media Freimund Duve expressed regret concerning the fact that according to the results of the broadcasting frequencies contest held in Armenia July 18, A1+ and Noyan Tapan TV channels were not given the licence for broadcasting. As reported by "Mediamax" agency, in Duve's words, "for over one year Armenian society is deprived of the opportunity of receiving all-round information". The OSCE representative stated that the absence of these TV channels' broadcasting speaks about the fact that the freedom of speech is still being restricted in Armenia.
