  Expert says there will be no war between Armenia, Azerbaijan November 2, 2013 - 13:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - There will be no war between Azerbaijan and Armenia, an Azeri political analyst said, according to minval.az. Ramis Yunus believes that the parties to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict will “from time to time exchange threats, violate the ceasefire, take captives and use them for ideological confrontation, while politicians will shake their fists and stamp their feet, but there will be no war.” As to Armenia’s decision to join the Customs Union, Yunus said that Azerbaijan will resist Moscow’s pressure to use it a trump card in relations with the West. Photo: musavat.com Related links:    The conflict between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan The conflict between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan broke out as result of the ethnic cleansing launched by the Azeri authorities in the final years of the Soviet Union. The Karabakh War was fought from 1991 (when the Nagorno Karabakh Republic was proclaimed) to 1994 (when a ceasefire was sealed by Armenia, NKR and Azerbaijan). Most of Nagorno Karabakh and a security zone consisting of 7 regions are now under control of NKR defense army. Armenia and Azerbaijan are holding peace talks mediated by the OSCE Minsk Group up till now.
