Judd Apatow has come on board to direct the Universal comedy “Train Wreck” starring Amy Schumer, Variety said.

Apatow was originally announced as just a producer but now will come on to direct as well.

Schumer, star of Comedy Central’s “Inside Amy Schumer,” is writing the script and Apatow will still produce through his Apatow Productions shingle.

Plot details are being kept under wraps.

Apatow most recently directed “This is 40.”
