Armenian Genocide Issue Acquired Political Slant

PanARMENIAN.Net - The issue of the Armenian Genocide recognition has acquired political slant in Europe in view of Turkey's bid for the EU, ARF Bureau's Hay Dat and Political Office Director Kiro Manoian stated. In his words, being the successor of the Ottoman Empire the incumbent Turkish government bears full responsibility for the Armenian Genocide. "As for the United States, two draft bills on the Armenian Genocide recognition are awaiting discussion in the Congress. Presently the activities of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) are targeted at the adoption of these resolutions," Kiro Manoian underscored, reported the Public Television of Armenia.
