North Atlantic Council - Armenia Meeting Held in Brussels

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Defense Minister Serge Sargsyan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Vartan Oskanian took part in the North Atlantic Council - Armenia meeting held in 26+1 format in Brussels. The meeting was dedicated to the implementation of the Armenia-NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) based on the interim report submitted by the NATO delegation after visiting Armenia May 18-19. The Armenian Ministers gave reports on the expansion of the Armenia-NATO cooperation within the IPAP.



For their part NATO Ambassadors gave assessment to the work carried out within the IPAP. Special importance was attached to the democratic processes in Armenia as a guarantor of security, reforms in the defense sector and bilateral political relations with the NATO. Afterwards the Armenian Ministers replied to numerous questions referring to the priorities of Armenia's foreign policy, security grounds, regional problems and energy security as well as the peaceful process of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, reported the RA MFA press office.
