Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations gets diesel generator

PanARMENIAN.Net - As part of its support program for the development of key national infrastructure, VivaCell-MTS gifted a diesel generator to Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The generator can be used as a source of alternative electrical energy for ensuring uninterrupted operation of the backup server (BSC) center for the government of Armenia, provided by VivaCell-MTS to the ministry earlier this year.

The creation of the backup server center (BSC) worth of AMD 50 million is aimed at increasing the viability of Armenia’s system of state governance in emergency situations. The BSC, which is situated in the administrative building of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was designed for providing timely organization of civil protection emergency activities in peacetime and civil defense management in wartime; for keeping the information secure and using it in a safe and efficient way; as well as for centralizing the backup information systems of state offices and facilitating their operation.

The 3-phase Perkins P440E 400-Volt diesel generator set is capable of producing 360kW of electrical energy within an hour.

“We exert every effort to support the state when it comes to creating effective mechanisms for disaster prevention and management,” commented VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian
