Ameriabank, Orange Armenia launch new online payment service

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ameriabank and Orange Armenia announced the launch of an online payment service for Orange Armenia subscribers, who'll be able to pay for any type of service with ArCa, MasterCard and Visa cards, issued by Armenian banks.

Online payments at www.orangearmenia.am will be immediately transferred to the subscriber's balance. The VbV (Verified by Visa) and SecureCode (3D Secure MasterCard) technologies used to provide the new service allow high level of security for on-line transactions.

"The joint Ameriabank-Orange Armenia project is another major step in the development of e-commerce in Armenia," the head of Ameriabank IT management and automation programs Beniamin Tadevosyan stated.

"To facilitate payment of bills by using ArCa, MasterCard and Visa cards through e-commerce websites, as well as for further service, we developed a vPOS (virtual terminal) software tool that can be installed without large-scale programming or additional adjustments,” he said.
