Meghri hydropower plant's planned production capacity lowered

PanARMENIAN.Net - Planned production capacity of Meghri hydropower plant will be decreased to 100 Mwh.

The statement was made by Iranian Minister of Energy Hamid Chitchian at a Tehran-hosted Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental committee sitting, Panorama.am said citing Iranian media.

“The projected production capacity was reconsidered (down from 130 Mhw) in view of changes in the ecology of the river Araks,” the official explained.
