2-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey to star in high-concept comedy “9 Lives”January 29, 2015 - 18:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Two-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey has closed a deal to star in Barry Sonnenfeld’s high-concept comedy “Nine Lives,” which is set up at EuropaCorp, TheWrap has learned. Daniel Antoniazzi and Ben Shiffrin wrote the script, which Sonnenfeld has described as a “funny, emotional, commercial comedy.” Spacey will star as a workaholic businessman who suffers a terrible accident that leaves him trapped in the body of the family cat. EuropaCorp is financing and producing the film, which will be shepherded by its U.S. film president Lisa Ellzey. “Nine Lives” will be one of EuropaCorp’s first releases through Red, the distribution pipeline it shares with Relativity. Spacey has won Oscars for “American Beauty” and “The Usual Suspects,” and he’s coming off his first Golden Globe win for “House of Cards,” which returns to Netflix for its third season next month.
