Police disperses students commemorating Genocide in Istanbul![]() April 24, 2015 - 20:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Police dispersed Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) students on April 24 as they attempted to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, according to Hurriyet Daily News. A group of students from the Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK) wanted to organize a commemoration for the Genocide centenary at İTÜ’s Maslak campus, but a brawl began when private security guards tried to remove a banner and placards that the students installed. The students who organized the commemoration for the victims shouted slogans such as “Shoulder to shoulder against fascism,” and “Murderous police, get out of the university.” ![]() ![]() The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
