The Beatles, Elvis Presley songwriter Sid Tepper dies at 96April 27, 2015 - 15:30 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Sid Tepper, who wrote songs recorded by The Beatles and Elvis Presley, has died at the age of 96. The songwriter, who produced over 300 tracks over the course of an extensive career, died of natural causes in his home in Miami Beach, Florida on Friday (April 24). His songs were recorded by the likes of The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong, Cliff Richard and Dean Martin, Digital Spy reports citing Variety. Tepper produced many of his songs with writing partner Roy C. Bennett. Some of their notable songs include 'G.I. Blues', 'Hawaiian Sunset', 'New Orleans' and 'Puppet on a String', which were all recorded by Elvis Presley. The pair also wrote The Beatles' 'Glad All Over' (not to be confused with the Dave Clark Five song of the same name). Tepper is survived by his five children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
