Inclusive education to become available at Yerevan schools by 2025

PanARMENIAN.Net - Inclusive education will become available at all the schools of Yerevan by 2025, the head of Yerevan municipality’s general education department said, according to ARKA.

As Gayane Soghomonyan told a Wednesday, August 26 news conference, six schools in Yerevan will start providing inclusive education this academic year.

“In this context, the training of psychologists, speech pathologists and other specialists whose expertise can bring about major alterations is very important,” she said.

As Soghomonyan noted, all children have equal rights for education, and the experts are ready to discuss any problem with children’s parents.

There are 8,000 disabled kids in Armenia. Some 2,700 children are attending 139 inclusive schools in Armenia this year.
