Lena Dunham hints at imminent end of "Girls"

PanARMENIAN.Net - Lena Dunham has once again hinted at an imminent end of "Girls". The actress called in to "Elvis Duran and the Morning Show" on Tuesday, September 29 to talk about her Lenny Letter project, and she revealed her plans to end the HBO series after six seasons, AceShowbiz reports.

"Never say never, but that is the way we're thinking about it right now and we're starting to think about sort of how to wrap up the storylines of these particular young women," said the 29-year-old actress, who also created the critically-acclaimed comedy.

She added, "It's really exciting. I started working on this show when I was 23, and I'm going to be 30 so it kind of feels right that this show kind of sandwiched my 20s and then I go off into the world."

It's not the first time Dunham talked about ending the show after season 6. In an interview with Variety earlier this year, she said that she had talked with HBO about ending the show with a sixth season. "I think America has a tendency to push shows past their due dates," the Hannah Horvath depicter said. "I like the British model - in and out."

"Girls" will return for a fifth season in January 2016.
