PACE President: French Bill on Genocide Not to Influence EU-Turkey Talks

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) President, Rene van der Linden said the adoption of the bill criminalizing denial of the Armenian Genocide will not tell on Turkey's EU accession process. "Turkey is a part of Europe but this process can take a long time. The decision made by the French National Assembly will not have a negative impact," Linden said adding that Turkey has been playing a significant role in works and efforts of the EU for a long time.
