The Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents are likely to meet in early December, the deputy speaker of parliament said Wednesday, November 18.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev last met on October 27, 2014, in Paris.
“I think the meeting between the Presidents is likely to take place within coming weeks,” Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters. “The President’s office will provide further details on the exact date and venue of the meeting.”
Following a visit to the South Caucasus region on October 26-28, the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs issued a statement, claiming the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders have expressed a wish to meet by the end of the year.
