Traffic Blocked at Armenian-Georgian Border

PanARMENIAN.Net - Some 40 cars of the participants of the action held November 20, 2006 at the Armenian-Georgian border are not allowed to pass through Bavra checkpoint, Javakhk News agency editor Armen Grigoryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. "Those wishing to cross the border have to change cars and this circumstance tenses the situation," Grigoryan said.

November 20 the action participants appealed to the Armenian law enforcement to stop proceedings against director of United Javakhk alliance Vahagn Chalakhyan, accused of illegal crossing of the border, and simplify the customs regime. The protesters blocked the highway and let pass only the cars that conveyed sick people or children.
