Ringo Starr selling 1st ever copy of The Beatles' White AlbumNovember 27, 2015 - 16:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Ringo Starr is selling the first ever copy of The Beatles' self-titled 1968 album at auction. Better known as The White Album, the print owned by Starr is labelled No 0000001, and is set to be sold at Juliens Auctions in Beverly Hills for an estimated $60,000 (£40,000) on 4 December, Gigwise reports. Starr, who can most recently be found delving into artwork, has now decided to sell various items of his own collection, ranging from his drumkits, Walk of Fame plaques, film scripts, and the prestigious LP. The first four pressings of albums were in possession of the band, who asked for the LPs to be specifically and individually labelled and pressed. In 2009, an original pressing marked No 0000005 sold on eBay for over $30,000 (£19,000). All proceedings from the sale will be given to the Lotus Foundation, a charity founded by Starr and his wife, Barbara Bach.
