The Dutch Turks voted by Akara's instructions during the parliamentary elections held November 22. The campaign for ethnic Turks running for the Parliament of Netherlands went through E-mail, a PanARMENIAN.Net journalist was told from Hague. The letters urged to vote for Koser Kaya, a candidate from D66 party. The e-mails would have come from an advisor of the Turkish Minister for Religious Matters and would have been sent from a Turkish Ministry.

The mail campaign started after PvdA and CDA removed Turkish candidates from the list because they did not recognize the Armenian Genocide. The party D66 of Koser Kaya did not ask her to speak out about the matter. Currently D66 and VVD demand explanations from Turkey on that subject, but Ankara denies an advice on how to vote was given.
