Arrest of Shiits in Baku Anti-Armenian Move

PanARMENIAN.Net - Arrests of shiits in Baku is a recurrent anti-Armenian move that positions Azerbaijan as a true ally of the U.S. and West in the South Caucasus, political scientist Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. In his words, as a matter fact the faithful shiits tried to guard shiism from western influence. "I should underscore that the activities of faithful shiits in Azerbaijan are perceived as Iran's attempt to change the power in Baku what doesn't correspond to reality," the Armenian political scientist said.

The other day 16 people in Azerbaijan were arrested. Their names are not announced in the interest of the investigation.
