PSRC starting review process for Armenia electricity tariffs

PanARMENIAN.Net - Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia is starting a review process for the power generation and provision of services by electric companies, as well as for the electricity tariffs for end consumers, the PSRC said Monday, May 2.

The review process is initiated given the electricity generation, import and export balance for the period between August 1, 2016 and August 1, 2017, as well as the possible changes in gas tariffs.

Gazprom Armenia seeks to lower the price for 1,000 cubic meters of gas to AMD 146.700 against the current AMD 156.000 (AMD 9.3 per 1 cubic meter) for people with a monthly consumption of up to 10.000 cubic meters of gas.

For those with a monthly consumption of 10 thousand cubic meters or more, the current price of $276.98 will be reduced to $257.56.
