International Weightlifting Federation has temporarily banned Armenian weightlifter, European champion Hripsime Khurshudyan after she tested positive for stanozolol.

Due to the temporary disqualification, the athlete can’t participate in tournaments; she's also set to miss the Rio Olympics in August.

Earlier, Khurshudyan was included in the list of sportsmen suspected of taking meldonium.

Khurshudyan participated in London Olympics in 2012, winning bronze. She won bronze at 2007 World Championships and gold at 2009 European Championships. In 2016, she became a European champion.
