EU ready to assist in construction of Transcaspian gas pipeline bypassing Russia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Georgian, Azerbaijani and Kazakhstani Energy Ministers discussed in Baku the possibility of transporting hydrocarbon from the Caspian basin to the EU states bypassing Russia, the Russian News Service reports. Reconstruction and exploitation of gas and electric networks between Azerbaijan and Georgia as well as reconstruction of two underground gas reservoirs was also considered.



It's also reported that EU is ready to render financial and political assistance to the building of the Transcaspian gas pipeline.
