Lavrov calls for clarifying further steps in Karabakh settlement![]() July 12, 2016 - 12:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev that he intends to discuss concrete steps of settling the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Lavrov is currently on a working visit in Baku (July 11-12). “President Vladimir Putin is satisfied with the outcome of the meeting in Saint Petersburg,” Lavrov said. “I hope this meeting [to Baku and, earlier, Yerevan] will help clarify the next steps. Following a CSTO Foreign Ministers’ Council session in Yerevan, Lavrov held informal talks with the Armenian side over the conflict. ![]() ![]() The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
