Armenia accounts for 40% of imports of brandy to RussiaJuly 29, 2016 - 16:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia continues being a leader in terms of the amount of brandy exported to Russia though after joining the Eurasian Economic Union in 2015 Armenian products aren’t counted as exported goods in Russia. According to research by the Russian Centre for the Study of Federal and Regional Alcohol Markets, Armenia accounted for at least 50% of the brandy imported to Russia in 2010-2014. “In the first half of 2016, Armenia shipped 3 million liters of brandy to Russia, making up some 40% of import volumes,” the general manager of the Center, Vadim Drobzin said. The Center also said that the Georgian brandy import doubled in the reporting period, totaling 1.1 million liters.
