Migran Arutyunyan scores silver in men’s Greco-Roman wrestling in Rio

PanARMENIAN.Net - Migran Arutyunyan from Armenia’s Olympic team won the country’s second silver medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, after being defeated by Davor Štefanek of Serbia in the Greco-Roman Wrestling 66 kg final on Tuesday, August 16.

The bout ended in a 1-1 score, but the Serbian athlete got the win on criteria because he was the last one to have scored a point.

Hours later, Armenia’s Artur Aleksanyan won a gold medal in the Greco-Roman Wrestling 98 kg final against Cuba’s Yasmany Daniel Lugo Cabrera.
