According to the data furnished by the Armenian police, 2 285 830 voters will take part in the election. According to social surveys, activity of the electorate at the parliamentary election will make 60-70 %.According to the reviewed RA Electoral Code, the vote is held in Armenia only. Armenians citizens abroad are not granted suffrage. 22 parties and one political bloc will compete for 131-seat parliament (90 by party lists and 41 one-mandate constituencies). Parties need to garner over 5% of votes; blocs should gain no less than 7%. Public order will be secured by some 8 thousand of law enforcers. 755 observers from 6 international organizations and 13 333 observers from 50 local organizations watch the election process.
