WASHINGTON TRYING NOT TO BREAK POWER PARITY BETWEEN ARMENIA AND AZERBAIJAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - Washington pursues similar strategic goals when developing military relations with the South Caucasian states, US ambassador to Armenia John Ordway stated in Yerevan. Establishing good relations with the military leaderships of Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan, strengthening the democratic control over the military, contribution to guarding the borders and struggle against the threat of terrorism were mentioned by the ambassador among these goals. "We build our military relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan in a way not to break the power parity between them," - Ordway noted. In the diplomat's words, commander-in-chief of the NATO combined forces in Europe Joseph Ralston, who has already been in Georgia and Azerbaijan, may visit Armenia in the near future.
