A Nagorno Karabakh soldier, Hayk Hambardzumyan (b. 1996) was wounded in the Azerbaijan fire on the contact line Friday, October 7.

An investigation into the details of the incident is underway, the Karabakh Defense Army said in a statement.

To suppress the rival’s attacks, Karabakh troops took retaliatory measures to continue controlling the situation on the line of contact.

Earlier, the Defense Army refuted Azeri claims of killing a soldier on the frontline.
