French Development Agency to invest $40 mln in ArmeniaOctober 18, 2016 - 17:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The French Development Agency is ready to invest about $40 million in the development of Armenia's infrastructures,French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier said at a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan on Tuesday, October 18. Dwelling upon the friendly relations between the two countries, the PM hailed the comprehensive agenda of bilateral cooperation in different sectors and called for more joint economic projects. Also, Karapetyan stressed the importance of the second conference on Armenian-French decentralized cooperation to be held in Yerevan in December. Charpentier, in turn, expressed willingness to cooperate with the Armenian Government towards the implementation of joint programs, the further development of bilateral relations and expansion of economic ties. The Ambassador said the French Development Agency is going to invest about $40 mln to improve infrastructures in Armenia, at the same time announcing the willingness of a number of French companies to start activity in the country. The parties cited agriculture, information technologies and tourism as promising spheres of cooperation.
