Spotify rolling out new music app for Samsung smart TVOctober 21, 2016 - 13:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Spotify is launching a new-and-improved app for Samsung smart TVs, promising both paid and free users a better way to access music. The app itself isn't that interesting, but the fact that Spotify's making it available to free users is, The Verge said. Spotify, of course, is available on all sorts of devices, including phones, tablets, and streaming sticks like Roku, Google's Chromecast, and others. However, it often limits access to apps on TVs to paid Premium subscribers only. Now users on the free-tier can get in on the action too — if they have a Samsung smart TV from 2015 or 2016. They'll still have to put up with ads and all the other limitations placed on free users, but hey, you can get decent music on your TV now.
