As the RA justice minister David Arutyunian has stated, 2001 September Armenia joined the UN resolution on struggle against terror, that binds the countries to adopt corresponding amendments to their legislations. In the minister's words, according to the adopted amendments, RA Central Bank will be given the right to retire doubtful financial means. "According to the amendments, the Armenian Central Bank will determine the terms of the turnover of the financial means that will apply to all the commerce banks of the republic", he stated. As the head of the Central Bank Tigran Sarkisian reported some time ago, after the September 2001 terror acts in the US, the list of companies that might be engaged in terrorism was spread. "If representatives of those companies try to open accounts in the Armenian commerce banks, the Central Bank will be reported on that and immediately take necessary measures", T. Sarkisian noted.
