PM will further head Cabinet should ruling party win election: President

PanARMENIAN.Net - In the event that Armenia's ruling Republican Party (RPA) wins the parliamentary election in 2017, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan will continue heading the government, President Serzh Sargsyan said Saturday, November 26.

RPA's 16th convention is currently underway in Yerevan, Armenia.

"Should we secure a confidence vote, Karapetyan will further run the Cabinet to continue implementing the scheduled program," Sargsyan said.

"Organizing and holding faultless parliamentary election in 2017 is our top priority."

Also, he said, the party will be presented by a team of respected, confident and competitive figures, adding that "we must try to be closer to our citizens."
