Iran may reopen Hamadan airbase to Russia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Iran's Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan hinted on Saturday, November 26 that Russia may use Hamadan’s Nojeh Airbase in the future again, Mehr News Agency reports.

He assured that Iran would contribute to any action which sought to protect Syrian legitimate government in Damascus, which “would entail working with Moscow in any form of action,” he said on Russia's use of the airbase.

Also, Dehghan told reporters that the Islamic Republic would buy a Sukhoi Su-30 fighter jet from Russia. The Ministry had been engaged in negotiations to commission the deal, he said, adding that “alongside the actual fighter, we will also negotiate a technology transfer to the Ministry as an essential part of the deal."
