Gazprom to obtain $100 stocks of Hrazdan heat power plantSeptember 14, 2007 - 20:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Sitting of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental committee on economic cooperation was held in Yerevan under presidency of RA Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan and Acting Russian Transport Minister Igor Levitin.The committee noted the progress in the fuel and energy sector, specifically implementation of the agreement signed March 31, 2007 by the Armenian government and Gazprom, whose investments amounted in $111,8 in 2006. In 2007 the investments promise to reach $190 million. According to the agreement, Hrazdan-5 power unit will be constructed and put into operation within shortest terms. During the sitting Minpromenergo and Gazprom were ordered to work out proposals regarding transfer of 100% stocks of the Hrazdan power plant to Gazprom with a purpose of creating a united multiplex of Hrazdan-5 and Hrazdan heat power plant, the RA government's press office reports.
