Armenia: Yelk urges rival opposition party to stop “the witch hunt” July 26, 2017 - 15:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The opposition Yelk bloc on Wednesday, July 26 urged Yerkir Tsirani (Land of Apricot) party leader Zaruhi Postanjyan to stop "the witch hunt”, RFE/RL Armenian Service reports. Postanjyan had on Tuesday described the Yelk bloc as 'a mouthpiece for the Armenian authorities.' Alen Simonyan from Yelk argued on Wednesday that “a witch hunt among opposition forces would only strengthen the authorities' positions.” According to Simonyan, the opposition activity is not limited to emotional outbursts, but contains specific measures that will lead to a regime change. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
